The non-functional heels are jokey clothing item for non-walkers (the foam heel would collapse if weight was put on it) designed to elicit smiles and possibly all the illusion of length to those chubby, not-yet-unfurled legs (and improve the line of those teeny dresses!) at the same time.
Personally, I find the MaryJane faux tights adorable, but am not so sure about heels on a baby. It sort of makes me really happy I had boys and didn't ever have to deal with this sort of stuff.
I can't help but wonder, would Carrie Bradshaw put a pair on a little baby Big? Would YOU?!
